2. Florida (17-10)

9. Kentucky (11-16)
10. Auburn (9-18)
11. Mississippi State (8-18)
12. Tennessee (9-19)
Auburn, Mississippi State, and Tennessee are eliminated from the SEC Tournament.
This Week
*Alabama at Auburn
*Ole Miss at Arkansas
*Kentucky at Florida
*Georgia at South Carolina
*LSU at Mississippi State
*Tennessee at Vanderbilt
I will give credit, when credit is due and you have to give it to MS State for beating us this weekend, as much as it pains me to say that. The 09 meetings between the 2 clubs were split evenly. They did beat us, but in no way, shape, form or fashion are they a better team than us. Sure they beat us, but no way in the big picture are they better than us. We just did not get it done this weekend. It's so disappointing, but it is what it is. We had the opportunity to become a national seed and win the SEC out right and we just collapsed. We move forward. We finish strong and not dwell on the past. Fellow Rebels, we are good, don't panic. We will be ok. I mean look at the SEC tournament field, that is just sick. The only team to "not be worried about" would be Vandy, but even then anything can happen. It is going to be a tough road for any team to get to the Championship game of the tournament, but whoever does we will all slow clap for them because it will be impressive for sure. Bittle will be available to come in for a couple of innings this week vs the Razorbacks, but certainly will be under a strict pitch count. If I were Mikey B, I wouldn't even throw him and make sure he is fine for the tournament. Baseball is about 9 players, not 1. At this point we are a lock for a regional still, pending we do not get swept by Arkansas. We will be traveling for a Super unless an upset occurs which would be nice but we will have to wait and see what happens.
How about our Rebels from the 2004, 2005 team in the Big Leagues!
Seth Smith is hitting lead off for the Rockies.
Matt Tolbert is playing 2nd for the Twins and hitting 2nd
Chris Coghlan, my boy is hitting 2nd for the Marlins and playing Utility. He is gonna be awesome, a pure hitter, gap to gap with speed. I am so pumped that he is up.

Check out the sweet pic of me and Greg Hardy at the Library, prior to my sick nasty dancing skills invaided the dance floor. He is a projected NFL first rounder boys.
More to come later.

Rebels are Ranked #7 in Baseball America's Latest POLL
Rivals.Com has us at #14, crackhead. No way. No freaking way.
"Ole Miss has had a fantastic past couple of weeks and certainly is playing great baseball right now, but I think the teams ahead of them most certainly have a strong claim to be where they are, especially from a consistency standpoint. If Ole Miss continues to win, everything will play out. There's no question about that."

Side note, this video seems to have been shot at a Raifords-esqu establishment. If this was played around me after some cocktails. Look out.
Stellar Weekend Folks
Top of the morning.
Stellar weekend folks. Lets start the day off by laughing at some dbags.
This seriously could be one of my all time favorites of the guid in training.
Now onto the weekend. What an amazing weekend. Oxford is my favorite place ever, most of you probably don't know that or that I really like Ole Miss because I never talk about either. SIKE. The weather could not have been better. Clear skies low 80's and breezy. Perfection.
Folks the Rebels are good. We just took the series from #1 UGA. The simple fact that we were 1 pitch away from potentially sweeping the series speaks volumes for how good we really are. Like I have said before, we are not flashy, we aren't going to over power you with homeruns. What we will do is grind out runs, get people on base, move people over and play solid defense. I will take that any day of the week. We are a complete team that competes and has someone new step up and be a leader each game. Our pitching has been terrific, which was a question coming into the spring. Bittle will be a first round pick in the draft. If we continue doing what we do, we will be setting up nice for the post season.
The atmosphere this weekend was top notch. Here are some quotes from UGA
UGA head coach Dave Perno:
"It's not just the environment...it's the stadium. They've got everything. It's done right. It's the best we've been in, not just the environment and being tough to play in, but just the looks, the aesthetics. Everything's done right and I tip my hat to Mike, Ole Miss and their athletic department. They've done a great job."
Georgia player Rich Poythress:
“It's the best environment I've been around...I've been to LSU. I've been a lot of places, and it's the best environment, other than Omaha, that I've seen in college baseball."
Thats what Texas Coach Auggie Garrido said when he came in 05, Miami coach Jim Morris said we have the best atmosphere, not to mention the countless other teams that have come in and said that Ole Miss has the best enviroment in college baseball. Argue what you want about Mississippi State, LSU and Arkansas. But in my opinion you cannot beat ours. The student section is really the cherry on top that sets us apart from every team in the nation. No other student body supports their team like the Rebels. I think we are setting up not only for a Regional but a National Seed.
Sure we dropped the series to USC, LSU (by 2 freaking runs)and TCU, but are they better than us? Absolutely not. That day they were, and I hate to be the fan that tries to justify the losses by saying "well, baseballs baseball." but the fact is, it is. It's a wierd game. And great teams lose. Thats why they play so many games, you have to look at the entire resume not just 1 or 2 or ever 3 series. We can compete with anyone. We aren't scared. We might be making a trip to Omaha folks, I honestly think we have the capabilities. And boy o boy, if we go to Omaha, this Ninja is going to be there in full effect with nothing but 1 bell and a whistle and maybe some leaves infront of my junk party boying every person around.
Here is a look at the SEC
1. LSU (14-7)
2. Georgia (14-7)

9. Auburn (8-13)
10. Kentucky (7-14)
11. Tennessee (6-15)
12. Mississippi State (6-15)
Next Week
Alabama at State
LSU at Arkansas
Ole Miss at Auburn
Florida at Georgia
Tennessee at Kentucky
Vanderbilt at South Carolina
Now lets talk about the shit show that was.
Friday night was pretty lax, I mean sure I had some brews at the game, and left in the 7th to get to Robert Earl Keen, but by no means it was crazy. I jammed out at Lyric with some Frat Rats from Houston and we talked about how cool Texas was and just your normal Texas People talk. But by no means crazy. Then took it to the house.
Saturday, Double Decker Day.
Well woke up and freshened up and headed to the field to go wait in line in left. got there at about 11:30am with Marcus, craked a beer and started to jam out with the older guy next to us in line, we were 16th in line. Collin joined us shortly after and we just kicked it. Shortly after I was introduced to one of my blogger fans ( I only have 4 or 5 and I know all of them so this was exciting) so we had a little chit chat, by 1:55pm it was time to get ready for the chair race, for those of you that don't know this is what the line is like.
it's like the running of the bulls. We got our chairs set up and headed to the square to eat. Eat. ha. no such luck. Instead jello shots and hunch punch were suitable. Within the hour I was at a buddies house on the square, after being a couple of beers deep, I had had 3 everclear jella shots, and 2 cups of the punch, needless to say I way on the highway to the danger zone. Went back to the field at about 3:15pm and proceeded to drink more beer and Jam out to the ipod. Great crowd in left. The smell of the grill going, the booze. It's just what Oxford smells like. Good times. After the game, we went to the boom boom room (library) and from like 8:30pm until that joker shut down I party boyed and dropped it like it was hot,I was sweating like a had just ran a marathon and my hips didn't lie. If I wasn't on the dance floor, best believe I was just going up to randos and shaking my badunkadunk to any female. Yup, another weekend of being that guy. And wanna know an amazing piece of information. I did not even have a beer, drink in my hand in the 4 1/2 hours I was there. I was steady ballin with out booze, well because I already had enough I suppose, and its hard to drink when both your hands are on the ground shakin your ass in the air. For some reason Dave is right, white people catalog everything we drink no matter how drunk we get. We know we had 17 beers, 2 shots, what we ate.

Pump the jams, pump it up
Ear me now, ear me now. Check it. Famous words from my main man, Ali G.
Word up it's Friday and I am pumped. I am like a kid in school, on that last day of school before summer, just chompin at the bits to get out. Why you ask? Well you saw the photos above by god thats why.
#1 UGA comes to town to take on the #11 Rebels. Robert Earl Keen is tonight at the Lyric and Double Decker is tomorrow. Can't get much better than that, not to mention the weather should be in the low 80's and clear. Ballin.
So the Rebs have a chance to shatter some attendance records at Swayze this weekend, will it happen? Well hell why not, brand new park, double decker, bad ass weather and playing the #1 team in the country outta do it. I think we also have the opportunity to take 2/3 from the dawgs which could put us in place to become a national seed, and when you are a national seed the percentage of going to Omaha is something like 88%. Now, I know, when we were a national seed back in 05 we got paired up with Texas who ended up being the National Champions that year, but we got the fist job on the seeding. But I think if we play like we are capable of playing, we will have no problem taking on anyone. To be honest ever since 05, I have not been scared to play anyone. I think we are a premier program and know that we can compete with ASU, Texas, USC, Miami and all the other traditional powers.
Well my little league team the Padres, well we went 1-2 this week. I swear I think someone is playing a joke on me because it seems as if I got the most uncordinated group of kids out there. Damn kids look like they are wearing rollerblades for the first time out there. They need to grow a pair, stop being scared of the ball and get some flexibility. They are almost 15 and they still throw like pansies. They need Kenny Powers out there.
Well I gotta run and do some work before I transform myself into a freshmen again for the weekend. I will let you know how things work out....

lunch box talks
Word up. Man I freaking love grapes, I am eating some stellar red sedless grapes right now. Freaking awesome. I used to hate eating my lame lunch, but now that I added some grapes to the mix, its awesome.
Anyway, lets talk Rebels real quick. Those not as privilliged to have attended A Great American Public University, please scroll down.
The diamond Rebs play Florida this weekend. We gotta win this series if we want to be in the running for a regional host site. Projections have us being a 2 seed at Clemson and being pared up with LSU as the national seed. As of now you have 3 of the 8 national seeds going to SEC schools (Arky, UGA and LSU)we lost the series to LSU by 2 runs, but still can take UGA and Arky. We must take care of business now, and for sure next weekend if we have hopes of hosting. We are just a scrappy team, not a tone of big name players, we just find a way to get things done. Frustrating part is that it is a roller coaster ride being a rebel fan. But we should all be used to that by now. I wanna go to Omaha so freaking bad. I hope we can do it this year.
Spring Football game is Saturday. I will not be in attendance, I have little league practice. We won last night 20-10. Our pitching is so brutal, walk after walk, and none of the kids retain a damn thing. One of the kids knows I despise LSU and he wore a purple undershirt yesterday to piss me off. Anyway, the Rebels are projected to be a top 10 team this year. Yea, just let that soak in for a second.................................................................................................................................................................... Yea a top 10, holy shitballs. I mean we won't know what to do if we can do what we have the capabilities of doing. From Chris Low of ESPN --Notice I didn't include Ole Miss quarterback Jevan Snead in this conversation. That's because he could make a legitimate run if he picks up where he left off last season and the Rebels play their way to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game.
I mean we are all over ESPN, CNNSI, Rivals and I love it.
Please copy this link and read this Rebel fans.

I am already planning the Shark Tank Tailgate for the game @ Memphis and @ Vandy. When we go the SEC championship game expect one there and either the Rose Bowl or Sugar. For those of you that didn't go to the Shark Tank at the Cotton Bowl it was a blast. 350 People, Open Bar, Catered food, DJ all before the game. So you will have to get your fins up and join. It will be first come first serve though.
So my friend Joey told me he did not find the 5 chapters of that book in progress funny. I was highly offended, he said it was a waste of his time and everyone that went to college has those stories. Well not everyone that went to college publishes them, and the fact that I can relate to making fun of the same people Claire does, remembering the blurs of my tenure at Ole Miss and hell the times I go back as an Alum make the stories even better. Boo on you Joey? Anyone else feel the same way as him? If so they are selling new senses of humor at Wal-Mart, go buy one.
On to easter weekend. It was fun, flew back home to Houston for it. Always enjoy it, the Tex-Mex was the first thing I went after once I got off the plane and it did not fail me. I enjoyed the 3 Tex-Mex meals in 3 days I had. Friday night was just a disaster. Started off good, went to Spin class at some new gym by my house, went to lunch with a buddy of mine and then chillaxed for a while. Then invited some people over for dinner with my fam. I cooked dinner, see photo at the top. It was good to finally cook for these people that hear about me cooking all the time and then actually getting to do it for them was fun. Well thats when the pounding of the wine started. Go big or go home right..... well after polishing off a couple bottles between me and 3 others we met up with Ben at Foundation Room at House of Blues. It was bad ass as expected. We drank red wine until our teeth turned purple. Saw a tone of trendy button downs with dragons and neat creatures on them being worn by oversized middle aged men. Took some horrific shots before leaving, I am talking straight vodka pretty much, you know the ones that make your eyes water, as soon as you set the glass down you clutch the bar look down and pray that nothing comes up, attempting to talk is not an option as your hand is in a fist over your mouth, all your attention is focused on not letting everyone know what you thought of the shot. So we are couple shots in, couple bottles down things are looking pretty good right. Sike, they are looking pretty hazey. We leave foundation room and thats when things get just downright fuzzy. We allegedly went to 3 other bars after foundation room. I only remember one of them. I was apparently party boying again. Gotta love it right. Stayed there for all of 10 minutes until I made everyone leave for some reason, to go to the next bar. Where more shots were taken, and lonely dancing occured. After that all I remember is waking up outside of Bens house on his driveway looking up at the sky. O boy. My mother gave me $200 that night and said, now don't you spend this on anything stupid. Well mom, sorry. I wish I could tell you where that two hundy went, but no dice. I woke up without a wallet and like 10 bucks. I quickly texted those who were with me to find out if they had my wallet, and sure enough one of them did, gah, what a close call that would have blew. Ben called me after I left later in the afternoon on Saturday and said, well hell I wish we woulda drank last night. Another eventful night for party boy, maybe I should try acting my age sometime..............hmmmmmmmmmmm. Lets see what happens this weekend, I am cooking out tonight and then some of my buds from Med School are coming up to hang, so the forecast looks cloudy.........
**That other pic is what I sent to Henry (roomate) who went to state before we played them in Baseball and whooped that ass in Jackson this week 8-1. But the brightside of MSU Baseball is that they already outscored the MSU football team. 45-0 baby!!!! Hotty Toddy!
Afternoon Videos
Loving this song right now....
Start your weekend off right with a little Kenny Powers!
I might have to copy some of those moves...
The best of.......
