Did you miss me?

Come on tell the truth. I didn't blog last week because I was busy at work, it's amazing how the week flies by when you do that. Crazy. Today, yea, not so much. Hopefully it will be my only slow day of the week, as I enjoyed the speedy week last week.

I want you to caption this pic at the top, the one of the wrestlers. Lets see who comes up with the best one, and the winner gets nothing.

Mine will come with a video.

Put yo money in da air like it's a tip drill---

So last week was good. Blake and Ally got married, it was fun. Lots of binge drinking. We got on the party bus and I proceded to grind on some face. Check out the pic. Pretty sweet. Went and saw Zac Brown on thursday, and he was bad ass. Going to a concert sober is really wierd. Enjoyable, but not really something I want to experience all the time. It was on a Thursday and due to my diet regimen, I limit myself to Friday and Saturday drinking only. I didn't drink in high school, and my friends would always say it makes you more sociable and helps you have a good time. I was like yea, right, some liquid does this to you? Haha, right...clowns. Well they were right, and I found the fun juice once I got to college. My X-X-X girlfriend, my high school gal, well when we had our awful break up she cused me out and told me I would be such a drunk in college, blah, blah, blah. I didn't believe it. Well, there are some good pics out there of me, better stories and amazing second lived memories of them. How people can go out with drunks sober is beyond me and I feel for them. Imagine how annoying that would get on a regular basis. Man. This weekend was super lame. I felt like a parent. I went to the sweet 16 games here, which were fun. But no booze was sold at the games. The NCAA is about making money and well they really shot themselves in the foot on this one. 17K plus people that were willing to pay $7 for a beer. Whoopsies. I didn't go out after. BOOO. Then Saturday, I worked out, cleaned the house, organized the garage, watched golf, cooked and went to bed. Sunday, worked out, spun, mowed the grass, went grocery shopping and cooked. Man, what a thrilling weekend. O well, I got some rest and didn't spend a dime.

Rumor is Calapari is leaving Memphis for UK. That would be amazing. As Memphis would get a swift kick to the nuts and reality, that well they are Memphis and will likely go to the nearest Hollister, Gadzooks, Spencers Gifts and Outback Steakhouse to find therapy in finding a new coach. Damn Memphis fans. Moving forward

Rebels lost a hard fought battle to LSU this weekend in Baton Rouge. Bittle pitched great. We had opportunities to win, but didn't finish. We have to have clutch hitting and execute when we have runners on. We also have to throw people out when they steal. I don't think it is anything to freak out about, LSU is ranked #2 in the country and we really could have swept, we were 2 runs from doing so. So don't hang your head down low fellow Rebels, we will bounce back. Rebs play tonight vs Arky State at home, making up a rain out date. Then come to Memphis to take on the Memphis Douches at Autozone. Should be a fun game, its a pretty park. Then take on UK this weekend at home, at which point hopefully Calapari will be in the dugout shooting the shit with UK players.

Rundown of the week.

Monday -- Little League game -- Season Opener, we are going to do awful.
Tuesday -- Little League Practic -- rain likely
Wednesday -- Rebs vs. Douches @ Autozone
Thursday -- Little League game
Friday -- Cardinals vs Redbirds @ Autozone, followed by Raifords #2 grand opening.
Saturday -- Head to Oxford for the UK game and then to the boom boom room.

Little league, damn, freakin filling my schedule up and I have only seen 1 hot mom. What the hell, well hopefully now that the season is kicking off we will see some big sisters and divorced mothers who will think I am just so nice for coaching these kids.

I need some Netflix suggestions folks, please throw them out there.

Saw "I love you bro" good flick, you should see it too. Funny, couple of good one liners, safe to take the girlfriend to as it is not overly gross.

Last week we saw a couple of former Rebels do well. Cozart had a good week with the Reds big league camp. Tolbert went bomb with the Twins and Coghlan had a inside the parker vs my Astros. Well done boys, well done.

Until we meet again, o yea. Check out the new dew, if anyone has seen the sun, please, please notify him and tell him we have a 911 with me. We really need to see eachother soon.

** Addendum to add to the list.

I don't care if your mom, dad, grandaddy, sister, brothers girlfriends best friends mom went to an institution. You did not. Don't cheer for them.

Thanks.

Rambling On

Word Up. Big news, well kinda. Raifords is opening another location. The original location where many of you may have grinded, and will continue to grind will still be around, that location is off of Vance and Main, by the Fedex Forum. It is owned by 2 guys who bought it from Raiford 2 years ago. For those of you who don't know what the hell Raifords is, well its amazing. It's loud rap. There is a drum set that anyone can play. Fog so think in there you can barely see the end of the room. A dance floor that lights up blue, red, pink and green. A zebra wall and floor. Leather couches, stripper poles and strobe lights. They only sell 32 oz beers. And it's open from 11pm-4:30am Wednesday - Sunday. A place where many hook ups have blossomed into relationships, STDs, and small children. Well, the original Raifords and his daughter, Paula, will be opening up a new location on April 3. It will be on the corner of Main and Monroe. What a better location. The Raifords 5K will be cut in half for those of you who try to run home after the bar back to Mud Island. Not to mention it's in a better part of downtown, you will have Bardog, Flight and Sauces, all a bit tredier than Ernsiens and Green Bettle, but hey to each their own right. This location is slatted to look pretty much the same except be 4X bigger. Thats amazing. I am excited about it. Read more about it here.....

So I thought more about the rules of engagement on cheering for another school, as my post yesterday and status on the shitty new facebook garnered a decent amount of attention from Tiger High fans.

Here are the rules of being a fan.

1. You will be 100% committed to your Alma Matter, if you got a degree from that school or spent at least 3 years at that institution you will pledge alligance to that school. You are exempt from that rule if you school does not have a division 1 team or does not offer that sport, say you are a University of Vermont grad, you can then choose a football team to cheer for, and it can be anyone and nobody will hold it against you.

2. If you graduate from your Division 1 school and do not visit but once a year, you are bush league and should be slapped in the face. Unless you must travel overseas to get to the game.

3. In no way, manner, or fashion is it ok for you to attend an institution and like another school. If you were to stupid to get into that school, go to community college, and then transfer. Do not walk around campus wearing "Wish I went to XYZ U". That is also grounds for a bitch slap.

4. You may like another school for fun and for when your team is not playing. And when I say like, I mean like a cute little ugly dog or animal. You want them to do well, but it's not really gonna matter if they fail. You do not get emotionally attached to another school. IE, my other teams Colorado, USC and Georgia are fun to root for on all occasions but when we play them. And, when/if they loose, I could give two shits and continue on. When my Rebels play and we lose, I feel like someone kicked me in the nuts, don't want to go out and become anti-social. That is the right way to feel about your institution. You cannot carry those feelings on with a second team.

5. You may temporarily carry thoses feelings if you are wagering a large sum of money, say $150+. In that case, you can cheer for who you like and be pissed and depressed if they lose. But this is just temporary.

6. The only time you can claim a team is:

They are a professional team, I cheer for the Grizzlies because I have a connection to them, I live in Memphis now. If you live in LA you cheer for the Lakers, ect. This does not apply to college teams AT ALL. The college team in your town/city will always take the backseat to your own university, ALL THE TIME. IT is however acceptable to attend games if you live in say State College, PA to go cheer on Penn State as it would be more difficult to get to your alma matter of Arizona State. But again, being depressed will not be acceptable and no facebook posts should ever include you hoping another school wins unless they are playing your Rival or you are in a pool/gambling on it.

You have added a diploma from that institution, say a masters or a PHD, however again, if you spent 3+ years at one place. Your fanhood stays there regardless of what your diploma reads. And even if you get a masters/PHD from another school that will always be your second team.

You attended a small school, University of Phonenix, School of Hard Knocks, or aquired a GDI will you then have the liberty to pick your school.

7. Lastly, you are welcome to cheer for your home state/city school. BUT, I cannot stress this enough. You cannot advertise openly, post facebook statuses, twitter posts, or own any t-shirts that may stake your claim to that school. That is just like cheating on a girl friend. A girl would dump you if she saw you making out with another dude. If I were Ole Miss and you were cheering for the tigers, I would yank that damn diploma right off your wall and ask you never to step foot on campus again, as you have tarnished your reputation and the repuation of our institution.

PS, it is ok to wear a article of clothing/another school colors to another game as long as you are a visiting fan, and your team is not playing. I did it in Austin when Texas and Ohio State played back in 06. I wore a burt orange polo with an OLE MISS hat. And I still felt like I was cheating on Ole Miss. The whole day I felt like I was going betraying my university, but my friends that visity the Grove wear red and the same is acceptable if you are visiting another school with a friend. **this is not allowed all the time though, as then you begin to think that is your school.

I hope I have cleared some things up for you. Enjoy your NCAA tourney, and I hope the Tigers get pooped on.

Back By Popular Demand -- JK

Sorry folks, been a bit busy. You'd be amazed at how much I can get accomplished when not in front of a computer. No stalkerbook, Spirit, WWTDD, NAFOOM and shit I can do some wonders on work.

So lets start out by professing my extreme hate for the Memphis Tiger. I mean, as I type this I can feel myself getting stressed out. They aggrivate the hell out of me. Mainly because you have people that grew up in Memphis, went to Ole Miss, State, Auburn (Fill in with your school choice) yet still manage to be die hard Tiger High Fans. How the hell does that happen? Your alligance to your school is like marriage friends, til death do us part. I mean, I am a Rebel through and through. I might have teams that I am kinda like ya, hope they win against XYZ team, but I could give two shits if they win or lose. Those teams PS, my "bandwagon or other" teams are USC, UGA and Colorado. Random. Yes. But again, I could careless if they win or lose to be honest, but I will cheer for them if they are on the tube. But for the Memphis wanna be fans, why don't you go buy some white tennis shoes, some hair gel, go pierce your lip and drive your sooped up HUN-da. Just infuriates me. I think I hate them more than LSU. The fuel is added to my fire when I pick up the paper everymorning to find out that on the front page, they tell me that John Calapari took a dump on a yellow shitter. Then the next day he walked on beige carpet. I mean who the hell cares. Talk about the freaking Grizzlies, talk about the REBELS. I would rather read about MSU. You don't see me cheering on the mighty cougars of Houston, or the mean Owls of Rice do you. Hell I don't even cheer for the Texas Longhorns, unlike most people at Ole Miss who are from Texas but couldn't get in so came to Ole Miss. They would rather go to a UT game then an Ole Miss game, and that kinda crap drives me up the wall. If/when I move back to Houston, I will be the most obnoxious Ole Miss fan there, and I will go to HS to promote Ole Miss. I went to the Notre Dame Tennessee Game and the Notre Dame Michigan game and wore Ole Miss Polos to both games. Ya, well if I could marry Ole Miss, I would. Shes fine. And has a ton of property in God's Country. I love Ole Miss. You should love your University. Not someone elses you clowns.

Memphis fans...remind me of......

While we are on the topic of Memphis. Here is a great blog for any Memphians....

Hope that comes out ok and formatted ok on the blog, if not o well, call geek squad for me and have them figure it out for me.

-----
Rebs one last night vs Arky St and wore green hats because of our good friend Asst. Marketing Director Brandon Hudspeth, props to him for setting it up, all ass slaps and high fives should be forwarded to his facebook wall.

-----

So Ian had a shit show this weekend. Ole Scotty boy from B-Ham (College Roomie) came to visit me. Henry (current roomie) had like 8 of his boys come in. We hit up the crawfish boil at Red Rooster, then went to the dog track in West Memphis. I won $40 off a $2 bet, I was pumped! Then dominated Raifords. Where I drank 2 32oz beers. Listen, thats impressive ok. If you have to drink a whole one at raifords, clearly the earlier part of your night did not go as planned.

Saturday, well we played bar golf. Our rules were as followed.
visit 9 bars. 30 minuets at each bar.

Beer = 1 point
Mixed Drink = 2 points
Shot =3 points
Silkies Diver= 10 points
Puke time= -10 points
Bathroom Breaks = -5 *allowed one per hour at no charge.

Well, I won that joker, I was the last man standing, therefore I win. We hit up Silly Goose, Club 152, Club Chill, some rando bar on Beale, Silkys, Raifords. Well we were supposed to hit 9 but we stayed at Silkys for a long time. Then I stayed at raifords forever. Until the joker closed. At 4:30am. I freaking dominated the drumb set like a jackass both nights at raiford too. I have never played the drums. I sounded like this probably.

So Saturday at Raifords. Me and this unknown lady were grinding......to this.....

Which I think is a staple song there. Anyway, grinding away, I dropped it like it was hot a couple of times also. She was throwing me around and being rough with me, I was totally diggin it. I kept pulling her necklace and things appeared to be getting pretty. darned. serious on the dance floor. Well, it got less and less crowded. And all of a sudden, BOOM lights turned on and bouncers began kickin folks out. We sat on the couch, discussed a future meeting and the bouncers made us get up and leave. Her friends got in a cab, we stood out talking. I was getting her number and my freaking phone was dead. I looked at her with my lost eyes, "shit, my phones dead......uhhhhh" meanwhile her friends are in the cab screaming for her to get in, the 1 dude that was with them was standing by the door with one are proping it open (I could sense the feeling of, come on dude, are you gonna seal the deal or what make up your effin mind) So I said, well we can do this the old fashioned way ( somewhat slurred speech I imagine) do you have a pen, she looked in her purse. NO DICE. We asked in the cab. No DICE. Cabbie. NO DICE. Looked around and said "does anyone have a pen?" NO DICE. She was quickly shoveled into the cab by the dude friend who had enough waiting. No Phone Number. Ian, Fail. Well Ian also didn't have any cash. Phone was dead, and friends were gone. So began the 1st annual Raifords 5k. It was 4:30am. I began my journey down Main St. I was in jeans, a button down and loafers. Perfect attire for a 5k. I started getting winded by the Orpheum. Sad, I know. Even though I have been doing spin, but I was a little boozed up so shut it. I was approached by a Bum who asked for money, I said to him "well if I had any don't you think I'd be taking a cab?" and ran past him. Streets where empty. The rest of the way I didn't pass anyone or anything. Until I hit the round about on Mud Island. Where those familiar know that on Sunday Mornings in front of TUGS they set up a paper stand. Well the damn paper boy was just sitting in his chair to start selling the Sunday Paper. I laughed. And I am confident he was like, what the hell is going on. Folks, I was drenched in sweat when I got home. The Raifords 5K was certainly an experience, not that bad either, plus I burned all the calories I took in. I wasnt even mad. Amazing.

Friday the 13th

Hello to all.

Shitty weather here in the Mid-South. It has canceled my trip to Nashvegas, as the weather is not condusive to watching a baseball game or playing a game for that matter. So best of luck to my Rebels. I will miss not being able to go to SATCO, and chillaxin with my folks up in Nashville. But, I will soon make a trip there.

So on the way to work this morning, I was flipping through all the radio stations like I think most of us do. I landed on Hot 107.1, a Rap station. I am white, I realize that, but I like rap. I like country, rock, spanish, classical, I pretty much listen to everything. Well, a commercial was on right before the song, it was for a animal clinic. They said "Come see us, we are in the heart of whitestation, 100% black owned and operated". Now how the hell is that ok? That does not make me ever wanna go there. In fact I wanted to call and say, hey listen I am a white guy who listens to rap occasionally, and that is just not right. Would it be ok for a business to advertise as 100% white owned and operated? No. What they are showing is that unlike what they want to be doing, Progressing society. They are regressing. They, and when I say they I am obviously generalizing as not everyone wants this but here in Memphis, it's like Black vs White. It's sometimes annoying. I mean, if you were in the hospital and the doctor was black, asian, indian, would that stop you from wanting his help. Hell no. Are you not going to go to a restaurant because a certain ethnicity owns it? No. So again, why the hell is it ok to promote that? I mean I understand that the dominate audiance that listens to that station is African American, but like anything you are going to have a mix. I can assure you that you will never here that on 107.5 which is the top 40's station. And you certainly will never here the country station advertise a "white business". We live in an era that I would like to consider equal, if anything favoring minorities. Which is fine. Everyone deserves an equal opportunity, if you are willing, committed and have a strong work ethic. The society we live in now, Black President, Female CEO's, Indian Doctors, Chinnesse Accountants; where a 25 year old can be a billionare and a 60 year old can be homeless. This is America, and it provides opportunities for all kinds. That add just really pissed me off.

Next subject. Cass and I hit spin class this morning, like our usual Friday routine. We both have hit 20LB of weight loss. I am so pumped. My gut doesn't stick out like it used to. I mean back around the cotton bowl, just look at my facebook pictures and you can see my gut sticking out, it was gross. I could rest a beer on it. Sick. It was time for it to go, and thats when I got my mind set on changing my ways, and I have. I eat right, take in good amounts of water and exercise 5-7 times a week. No fried food. Lots of veggies. Lots of sweating. Lots of me wanting to punch the spin teacher in the ovaries. But it has paid off. I still have 13 LBS to go. May 1 I would like to be 180. Which is what I came to Ole Miss at. We will see.

Any Memphians doing anything this weekend? 126 Household is thinking about the St. Pattys parade and pub crawl tomorrow. (after spin class) Tonight maybe sushi or the crawfish boil at the red rooster. Anyone that wants to chillax, just holla, holla, holla.

Real or fake, you be the judge. Hilarious though.

Riding Dirty

you can catch me riding dirty, downtown 5-6 times a week. It's pretty bad arce, especially now that I have started burning cd's for my instructor.

I really started Spinning, regularly, probably a month maybe 3 weeks ago. It has been great. I just finished a 2 hour spin on Saturday, and it makes me feel somewhat like an athlete again just because of the pace you can go at and now after doing it consistently for a while I don't lose my breathe as easily after going "up hill" or doing "sprints". Its a fun class, and there is usually some good looking females in there. What females, there is a good looking dude in their named Ian for you too. Geez, no need to get testy.

Anyway, I weighed in at 195 this morning. January 4 I was at 213. So BAM!!!!

---

Rebs are playing UK in basketball right now. Close game going into the half. Rebel Baseball travels to Nashville this weekend for the SEC opener vs Vandy. I will be in Nashville for the series. I love that city. I am for sure hitting up some SATCO. For those that don't know, well you will just have to go to Nashville to find out.

Rebel football may not have to hang its head down low if they manage to pull off Colorado for our September 12 game. I would love to have a home and home with them. Boulder is bad ass.

Yoccona has been rumored to have burned down last night, that sucks because it was awesome. However, this might provide for an opportunity to expand and or move to a new facility. Which in my opinion wouldn't be bad, sure its all fine and dandy to bring your own wine, wait an hour for a table and drive 10 miles out in the county to go out there. But wouldn't it be much better to do it in Oxford, still brown bag it, just bring it in closer. I hope they do, kinda like the mansion but with way better food. They already have a client base, so it's not like they wouldn't come.

Question for the audience. How the hell was it 83 degrees tuesday night, and today its freaking snowing and sleeting.

Anyway, Nashville this weekend. Looking forward to it. Also debating on going home to Houston for the Shell Houston Open, or the following weekend which is Easter. We have home series both weekends so I would either miss UK or USC. I went to the Open last year, sat 18th Green Skybox. It was awesome. All the big boys were there except Tiger. Same thing this year......Hmmmmmmmmm....

Cass and I began two-a-days Wednesday morning, hitting the gym aroun 5:45am and then spinning at 6pm. Our attempt will be to do that 3x a week. Then I am also attempting a 2 hour spin class tomorrow. yikes. we will see what happens with that. I will report back on Monday.

Nothing major happening here in Memphis. Randy Rogers play tonight at Newbys. Rascal Flatts played last night, had a friend stay over and I gladly gave him and his girlfriend my room to sleep in. They came up for the concert and I slept on the couch because I'm a good friend. Anyway, I was quickly awaken by what seemed to be a couch throwing competition up in my room, but it was likely fornication. O well, he was kind and washed the sheets for me. What a gentlemen right.

Above are some pics of the snow from last weekend. It caused us to miss 2 little league practices, therefore we have one make up tomorrow causing me to miss my crawfish boil in Oxford. BOOOOO. Kids are gonna run for that!

Check out Memphis in May Line up, not to shabby. www.memphisinmay.org

Thats all folks, gotta send out some e-mizzys.

Tuesday

So I wish I could learn to use all the features of this blog better so I can track how many people view this, beacause it seems like nobody reads it and I am debating on stopping.....hmmmmm. They need like a blog tutorial session. I think I could make it a lot cooler if I could add some jams, some polls, some links maybe a video blog kind of like Kige Ramsey, my video blog idol.

Anyway, some of you need to start commenting because from what I hear, The Daily Rambler might become extinct.

So nothing to exciting went on yesterday. Normal routine.
-Work
-Spin
-Cooked Dinner
-Watched TV

Quality TV that was watched -- Gangland (bad ass), The Bachelor Season Finale (Funny) and The City -- A must watch on Monday, all shows mentioned above are quality forms of entertainment and probably a waste of time but they fufill me and thats all that matters, and if you make fun of me I will make fun of you right back. Except on MY blog.

Quality Television that I am missing tonight because I have little league practice after spin.
-Biggest Loser
-Homeland Security
-American Idol (actually dont really watch it, but provides for a commercial filler.)

Now some might say, that I waste a significant amount of time watching tv, but the facts are maybe 2 hours max a day. Which I don't think is too bad all things considered. Sure, I should probably read a book instead but hey, tv is a virtual book.

Which brings me to the next topic of conversation. I think I will be moving from the wonderful Memphis within 18 months. Things are well in Memphis, I have fun, enjoy my job and friends here. But like Barack Obama says, It's time for a change.

Nashville, Atlanta, Dallas and Houston are looking like my landing pads.

Cashville
Clean city, fun, vibrant, young. Smallest one of all the ones mentioned but its the Hollywood of the south people. Relatively close to Oxford, hilly terrain, you have a river there and it gets 4 seasons there. Downside would be the lack of Texmex, (SATCO is the only viable option) and no NBA, MLB team. Plenty of concerts and NFL and NHL are there. Not a hub for any airport, so chances are you will connect anywhere you go, but Southwest does fly there. Casinos aren't to far, and skiing is a days drive away. Plus it's in SEC country.
Odds of me moving there 30%

Hotlanta
Big city, lots of traffic, pollution, crowdedness. All things I enjoy. It has every major sports league, plenty to do. Buckhead provides plenty of bars and the young professional crowd an area to mingle. Plenty of growth as Coke, CNN, Weather Channel, Home Depot, Delta, Air Tran and other major companies are there. Hartsfield -Jackson is one of the the largest cluster f's of an airport in the US, and you can fly direct anywhere in the world pretty much, or close to it. Proximity to other southern towns/cities is good. SEC country. Downfall, texmex. Good overall culinary scene though.
Odds of me moving there 20%

Dallas
Major city in Texas, home to plenty of businesses. Uptown/McKinney area is good for the twenty somethings. Every major sport is covered. 2 airports, Americas team. Major Bowl Game, good mix of SEC & Big XII people. Drive to Oxford in a day. Clean areas, modern. Big highways, buildings, lots of traffic no matter what time of day and great food. Lake LBJ, hill country and golf all not far from the city center.
Odds of moving there 10%

Houston
Born and raised there. Know it well. Have plenty of friends from various colleges that are there. Home to many fortune 500 companies. Excellent Texmex, lunchbreak drive away from the beach. 2 airports. I-10 is 24 lanes (including feeders and HOV), major sports. House of blues. Good concerts. Downtown that is being revitalized, light rail that just got put in effect. Largest Medical center in the world. Always stuff to do. Casinos are less than 2 hours away. Things that would deter me are the trendy t-shirts, gel heads, douchebags, cars with giant muflers, euro lights, sideways hats, the lack of SEC people and the humidity.
Odds of moving there 40%

Now alot can change between now and then, but if I were to move today, I would say Houston, here I come. But a lot is dependent on work. We will see what happens. I will open the floor for discussion.

Hurray for Monday

Just kidding, we can't be that excited can we? Just another beautiful Monday here in Memphis, windy and chilly. High in the 40's low in the 20's. Amazing. SIKE. Freaking wind is brutal, luckily my little league practice got canceled. Woulda been the opposite of fun out there trying to run a practice while watching all the hot moms stick around practice to watch their kids play.

Great weekend on my part. I did NOTHING. And I loved every second of it aside from terrible food experiences. Not that the food was ever really bad, it was just the act of getting the food that sucked ass. Friday night, I was starving. This must be prefaced with my lunch M-F so you can understand my frustrations....

4 oz of turkey (no bread)
15 pringles --literally. thats 100 calories
1 apple
1 cup of carrots
1 90 calorie granola bar.

So anyway, leave work. Pumped. Happy its Friday right, just like the rest of the working and non working world. Get home around 530. We make plans to leave the house at 620 to head out east where we were eating (Cozymels - the only decent mexican joint in Memphis, this is the standard of texmex where I come from)well, of course....females disrupt this plan, and my stomach is eating itself. We do not leave until like 650. I am furious, and when I get hungry I get a little edgy. Sorry but hunger will do it to you. On the way there, we hit every damn red light. It's raining and Poplar Ave in really a 4 lane road that they turned into 6 but I was still driving like a NASCAR racer trying to get there. Just frustrated as all hell we finally arrive. We order margaritas and they taste just like what I am sure the piss of a drunk person who just had like 10 margaritas tasted. Frustrated again. But the chips and salsa did not fail me. Nor did my fish tacos.

Saturday -- Spin class 845am. Get back, clean house. Eat a good lunch at Cordellias on the island. Snow fall begins. I will get to that later, right now its about food. Well Cass and I watch the golf tourney, the snow and the rebs on the tube before heading to Beale St for oysters and zydeco fest. Well we waited on some folks, late again head to Silkys around 7. Agitated again, because I had eaten a wrap at noon, we ordered oysters. Now I have never had raw oysters, and those who know me might find that a bit surprising. But they weren't anything to write home to the folks about. Didn't get me full. I had 3. Still STARVING. We go meet our other roomate at BB Kings and they are slammed. Well we stay for awhile and by the time I get my grub its 930PM. Not very happy, but happy because I ordered alligator gumbo and had some zydeco on in the background. I dominated that gumbo along with my Louisiana hot sauce which I put on everything. Happy Ian. We hang around a little bit longer and head to the house. Snow is falling heavily and has coated the streets.

Sunday, o it's what I love about Sundays .....

We (roomies and GF's) decided to go to the Arcade after sledding. The Arcade has been featured in a handful of movies, magazines, food network, travel channel, blah blah blah. It's been open since 1919 and pretty much everyone in Memphis knows about it. It's just a down home cooking place. Grits, Biscuits, Ect. Well we arrive. Crowded, every table is full and it is the ole "table will be ready in just a minuet" trick. Well it wasn't that long, but certainly not a minute. Liars. Anyway, they sit us at a round table by the window, which is good because i parked in a tow-a-way zone so I was in perfect condition to quickly run out in case any sight of a tow vehicle came by. The table of 5 was seated at a table for 9. Needless I had plenty of room to kick it while I watched the couples just googoogaagaa over eachother, at one point I thought they were going to ask for a drink with 2 straws......or like this...

Sick. I know right. Try living with emmmm.....geeez.
Anyway, so a freaking hour goes by and the anger starts to kick it. I am getting pissy. They bring out our food after the waitress never stopping by to say it will be right out, let me check the food. I am not one to complain, as I have been on the other side of things before, but damn they were teter-tottering with me. They brought out a poor excuse for an omelet, that I quickly drenched with Louisiana Hot Sauce. They forget my hashbrowns, which weren't good anyway. I was ready to leave. Arcade.FAIL. I equate it to Denny's. I would encourage others to visit Bosco's or Majestic Grille prior to that experience, but still go so you can say "you went". Walking out of the restaurant alone (I'm single and went with the couples) I had this song playing in my head as they walked out, it was like slow mo... almost made me tear up. So sweet....

Eating out this weekend, on an empty stomach....no DICE.

Snow.....so bad ace. We got about 6 1/2'' to 7'' over on the island. Now for you yanks that might not be much, but by God here in the south thats the equivalent to Colorado. Freaking awesome. I was peeling out, throwing snowballs, just like a little kid. Sunday morning the residents of 126 riverwalk headed sledding and it was so much fun. I will post pics later. I also was a good neighbor and helped push someones car out of the snow who slid into a yield sign. Im just such a nice guy.......

Rebs lost. Lets not talk about it. More after lunch or maybe tomorrow. Not sure yet.

Paige Bee and Anna Leigh May are the coolest, sweetest, nicest girls ever.

Good day.
